Steamed Cabbage Rolls with Ginger Soy Sauce @simplus_ph Ingredients: For the Cabbage Rolls: 1 large cabbage 250g ground pork 1 thumb-sized piece of ginger 1 head garlic 1 medium size onion 1 medium size carrot 1 stalk celery (optional) 2 tablespoons oyster sauce 1 tablespoon sesame oil Salt and pepper to taste For the Ginger Soy Sauce: 4 tablespoons soy sauce 2 tablespoons cane vinegar or any 1 tablespoon honey or sugar 2 thumb size ginger 5 cloves garlic 1 tsp peppercorns or 1/4 teaspoons ground black pepper 1 teaspoon sesame oil 1 teaspoons sesame seeds Splash of water Instructions: Prep the Cabbage: Carefully peel off the cabbage leaves, keeping them whole. Blanch the leaves in boiling water for 2-3 minutes until softened. Set them aside to cool. Prepare the Filling: In a large bowl, combine the ground meat, ginger, garlic, onion, carrot, oyster sauce, and sesame oil. Season with salt and pepper to taste. Mix everything together until well combined. Assemble the Cabbage Rolls: Place a spoonful of filling in the cabbage leaf. Roll the leaf tightly, tucking in the sides as you go. Repeat until all the filling is used. Steam the Rolls: Arrange the cabbage rolls in a steamer basket. Steam over simmering water for 20-25 minutes, or until the filling is fully cooked. Make the Ginger Soy Sauce: Grind together the garlic, ginger, peppercorns, soy sauce, cane vinegar, sesame oil, and sesame seeds. In a small saucepan, pour the sauce mixture. Add water and adjust to taste. Bring to a gentle simmer and cook for a few minutes until slightly thickened. Serve: Once the cabbage rolls are done steaming, transfer them to a serving dish. Drizzle with the ginger soy sauce and serve immediately. Enjoy! #simplus #simplusph #MCNWinbegin #cabbagerolls #vegetable #rolls #easyrecipe #fyp
