Bún Bò Huế (aka) Pho’s Sexy A$$ Cousin………. Quick and simple recipe using beef short ribs. Parboiled the ribs, brisket with 1 tablespoons of salt for about 3-5 minutes and give it a good rinse. Recipe: 8-10 medium bowl servings Preparing seasoning • 1 pk- 2oz bun bo hue season (any brand) • 1/4 cup cooking oil • 2 tablespoon minced garlic • 1/4 cup sliced shallots • 3 tablespoon minced lemongrass In a sauce pan add cooking oil, chopped lemongrass, garlic, shallots and bun bo hue seasoning package. Fry until fragrant and set aside. Broth: •1.5 gallon water •3-4 lbs short beef ribs (parboiled) •2 lbs beef brisket ( cut into 1/2 lbs pieces and parboiled ) •rare steak(thinly sliced) I’m using beef tri tips •2 tablespoon @quocvietfoodsusa bun bo hue soup base or any brand. (optional, you can use 1 tbs of shrimp paste) •2 tablespoon fish sauce( 3 crabs brand) •1 tablespoons msg •3 oz rock sugar (optional, 2 tablespoon white sugar) •8-10 pieces of lemon grass( cut into 3 inches, lightly smash) •2 tablespoon salt (more if needed) 1•In a big pot. Bring water to a full boiling 2•Add parboiled beef ribs, brisket, premade bun bo mixture and lemongrass stick. Covered and simmer for 1 hour. 3•Uncovered and remove the brisket. If you prefer brisket to be more tender. Simmer a little longer. Cover and simmer for another hour or until ribs are tender. 4•Add salt, sugar, msg, bun bo soup base or shrimp sauce and fish sauce. 5•Mix well and let sugar completely dissolved. Taste and adjust. You can cook pork knuckle/feet and pork blood cubes on the side. Add it in when ready to eat. Looks spicy but it’s not very spicy. You can use half of the seasoning packet if prefer less spicy. Soup season………#heffaclub. Vietnamese crab and white asparagus soup/ Sup Mang Cua. This soup is usually served on special occasions. The hell with all the special occasions. Cause we at got all the time in the world for all that booshit. Everyone has their own recipe and this is mine. Recipe: •1 quart chicken stock/broth •2 quart water •1 can white asparagus •1 can quail egg (more if prefer) •1 cup crab meat •1 cup imitation crab(optional ) •3 egg white from Bi tch azz Jessica •couple small pieces of rock sugar (optional. 1 teaspoons sugar) •2 tablespoons chicken mix(powder or bouillon) •1/2 tablespoons salt •1 teaspoons msg •1/2 teaspoons ground pepper •cornstarch mixture (1/2 cup water to 1/2 cup cornstarch) need more make more Ps, make sure to do the cornstarch slurry step before the egg white. Help prevent soup from becoming watery. Replying to @Jäger Peanut sauce recipe for your Vietnamese goi cuon . Everyone has their own recipe and this is mine. If you don’t cook your sauce we can not be friends. This is why you can’t be eating at everyone’s house. You might end up getting bubbles guts during traffic hours 😂 bone apple teeth heffaa! #heffaaclub Recipe: •1/2 tablespoon cooking oil •1 tablespoon minced garlic •2 tablespoon chopped shallots •3/4 cup water •1/2 cup hoisin sauce •3 tablespoon peanut butter •1 tablespoon white vinegar •1/2 tablespoon sugar 1•In a pan add oil and garlic and shallots. 2•Fry until fragrant 3•Add the rest of the ingredients in and mix well until everything is combined and smooth. 4•Bring to a full boiling and scoop out all the ewww. Continue to simmer for about a couple of minutes. Sauce will thicken once cool off. If too thick just add a little more water and bring back to simmer. Store leftover in the fridge after completely cool off. Heat when ready to eat again. Filling: lettuce, mint, perilla, fish mint, Vietnamese coriander, cucumber, bean sprout, vermicelli noodle and shrimp. You can add whatever else you want.
