🇰🇷Jjolmyeon (Extra chewy spicy noodles) This for me is the BEST underrated korean noodle dish out there! Maybe its just me or I don’t see that many people cooking Jjolmyeon on social media but as a chewy noodle lover - this just hits the right spot. I encourage you all to try this ❤️ Credits to @maangchi for this wonderful and tasty recipe! Ingredients: Noodles/Veg: - 1 pack jjolmyeon noodles - Cabbage, thinly sliced - Carrots, julienned - Cucumber, julienned - Kongnamul (Soy bean sprouts), blanched Sauce: - 1/4 cup onion leeks, thinly sliced - 2 tbsp gochugaru (red pepper flakes) - 2 tbsp roasted sesame seeds - 2 tbsp brown rice syrup (you can use sugar) - 1 tbsp soy sauce - 1 tbsp sesame oil - 1 tbsp apple vinegar - 2 cloves garlic, grated - 1/3 cup gochujang (red pepper paste) Garnish: - sliced cucumber - sliced seaweed - Egg - Sesame seeds - radish sprouts Instructions: - Preparation is very simple and straightforward. Cook noodles in boikling water for around 5-7mins and wash under running water to remove extra starch. You can also add ice to stop the noodles from cooking and make it much chewier. Drain noodles and combine with your chopped veg. - Prepare your spicy sauce by combining all ingredients listed and adding it to your veg/noodles.
