This one's for all you fans of comics out there. A collector just paid one-point-eight-two-five MILLION dollars for a single comic book! Okay, not just ANY comic book. It was the legendary 1939 Detective Comics #27 - with the very first appearance of Batman! In its story, "The Case of the Chemical Syndicate", we meet Commissioner Gordon and wealthy socialite Bruce Wayne. Enjoy a gritty, fight-filled murder mystery with the brand new caped crusader, and of course get the reveal of "The Bat-Man"'s secret identity! Not only is "#27" old and important, it's RARE! Only about a hundred copies are left in existence. And only EIGHT unrestored copies are graded the same as or better than this one. The price was a record for the edition, and made a tidy profit for the seller, who paid one-point-seven million for it less than two years ago! Here's a question for you: Comics, trading cards, action figures, whatever - if you had unlimited money, what collectible would YOU most want to own?
