My Shoe Size Went From A 12 1/2 To A 14… Here’s What Happened All growing up I was a chronic ankle sprainer. Every basketball season through my senior season of college I would sprain at least one if not both of my ankles. By the time I finished playing college basketball, my feet were so stiff, they were like bricks. Shortly after I graduated, I got introduced to Muscle Activation Techniques® and learned that the stiffness in my feet was actually caused by weak and dysfunctional muscles in my feet. Even though I stretched and rolled out constantly, they were always stiff and tight, until I started getting worked on with MAT®. As the muscles of my feet got stronger and started functioning better, my feet became less stiff and started moving better. I had no idea that this affected my shoe size (I rarely wear basketball shoes anymore) until one of my clients asked me if I wanted a pair of his shoes. I told him I normally wear a 12 1/2, but when he gave me a pair of 13s I could barely get them on. Then he gave me a pair of 14s and they fit perfectly! So after decades of wearing size 12 1/2 basketball shoes, not only has my shoe size increased, but my feet are stronger and functioning better than they ever have thanks to Muscle Activation Techniques®. 💪🤓👊 #sprainedankle #anklesprain #shoes #basketballshoes #nba #chicago #muscleactivation #muscleactivationtechniques #mat #strongbody #strength #strongmuscles #basketball #basketball🏀 #injuryprevention #rehab #prehab #recovery #muscle #muscles #basketballinjury
