When you’re asked in a job interview, why do you want to work here… don’t panic!   Most people get this answer wrong because they focus on the wrong things. They tell the company all the things the company can do for them. “I went on your website and I resonate with your mission.” Or “I am looking for a new challenge” But the worst thing people say is, “I want to work here for the benefits”   DO NOT TELL THEM you want to work there for a new challenge or their benefits.   INSTEAD tell them how you can be a value add to their organization. How you can help them achieve their goals. “I want to work here because I know one of your 3rd quarter goals is to break into the retail market specifically in the area of e-commerce and as we’ve discussed I have done that in my last two positions, I know I can help you achieve your goals and get where you want to go”   Your answer should NOT be what the company can do for you- it’s what you can do for the company. Convince them that you are not only qualified for this job but you will help them achieve their goals. Focus your answers on what you can do for them and back it up with ways you’ve done it in the past.   #howtoanswerinterviewquestions #interviewprep #jobinterviews #jobsearch #career #youngprofessionals #breakintotech #getanewjob

How to prep for an interview with you Internet Big Sister 🤓 🤫 in job interviews there are all these secret “signals” or “cues” that tell the interviewer you’re a capable professional 🤷🏼‍♀️ but whether we know it or not, a lot of these micro mannerisms are kinda classist—they’re not taught in school but rather by your community. 💼 for example, if you’re the first person in your family to get a corporate job in America, you might have never learned that you need to bring a hard copy of your resume or the importance of a firm handshake. 🙄 some people might say “well, isn’t this all common sense??” and if you think that, you’re lucky! 🤝 interview etiquette changes between cultures, and since the United States is such a (beautiful) melting pot, not everyone was brough up with the same mannerisms. 👩🏼‍💼remember: ⏰ always be early (if you’re on time, you’re late) 👔 wear clean, fresh clothes (wrinkle and smudge-free) 👄 always say “please” and “thank you” to everyone! When you are asked in a job interview, why should we hire you… don’t panic!   Most people get this answer wrong because they focus on the wrong things. They reiterate their strengths, or they repeat things they’ve already shared in the in the job interview.   DO NOT TELL THEM that they should hire you because you want the job, everyone wants the job.   INSTEAD tell them how you are different than everyone else. They are asking you Why should we hire YOU afterall so tell them how you stack up against the competition, how you are different, and what makes you unique.   I don’t know what makes YOU YOU, only you do. So start thinking about what that is.   Perhaps you went to school for accounting but you are in a creative field and it gives a background others don’t have.   Perhaps you speak 3 languages and you have a global perspective.   Perhaps you are an expert in your field. Perhaps you are super passionate about this job because you grew up in this field. Perhaps you have more experience than most people.   Think deeply about what makes YOU YOU and prepare an answer that is authentic. Why should they hire YOU?   #howtoanswerinterviewquestions #interviewprep #jobinterviews #jobsearch #career #youngprofessionals #breakintotech #getanewjob

When they ask you “What do you like least about your job?” Don’t Panic!   Be honest when answering this question, but brief. Share something that you don’t like very much or wish weren’t the way it was. Then, spend the majority of your answer focusing on connecting your dislike back to this job. For example, consider “talking about the skill sets you would use to thrive in this position and what you look forward to if you were to join” Example answers for “What Do You Like Least About Your Job?” An example answer if you want to do a similar job for a different kind of company **By concentrating on the positives of the new employer, you can avoid mentioning anything explicitly negative about your current job. “While I enjoyed working for a large law firm because I was able to gain experience across several areas of law, I’d prefer to join a team where my work would have a deeper impact in one area, specifically the entertainment industry. I’m glad this job has given me a broad baseline knowledge of law and helped me figure out what area I’d like to work in. But I’m ready to take the next step in my career by bringing the broader knowledge I’ve gained to a smaller, entertainment-focused firm like yours.”  An example answer if you want to tackle different job duties or to take the next step in your career path **This answer briefly mentions a current responsibility but focuses on the opportunity the new job would provide. “In my current role, I’m responsible for drafting media lists to pitch. While I’ve developed a knack for this and can do it when it is necessary, I’m looking forward to a job that allows me to take all I’ve learned about different media outlets and use it to inform a more hands-on role in working with media partners. That’s one of the things that most excited me about your account supervisor position.” An example answer if you disagree with your current employers’ strategies **This response speaks more bluntly and directly about something you find not-so-great about your current role or company. But it still ends on a positive note that spotlights your enthusiasm for the new job. “My current company acquires new business through traditional methods like cold calling and direct mail. I’m impressed with the digital, email, and social acquisition campaigns you’ve implemented and how they reflect a more modern, innovative approach. While I appreciate traditional methods and have learned a lot about the fundamentals that gave rise to some of the newer methods, I’m eager to work for a company that embraces change.” #jobinterview #interviewprep #getanewjob #career #job #howtoanswerinterviewquestions

Did you know that it takes the average job seeker 6 to 9 months to find a job?   Why do we go into a job search thinking that it will be quick and easy?   For most people a job search is difficult and takes a long time. If your job search hasn’t been going well know that it’s normal.   Do not give up! If you get rejected, try not to take it personally. If you aren’t getting scheduled for interviews, change up your resume.   Don’t get stuck and don’t feel defeated. Practice and stick with it. I promise you will find something.   Get an Interviewology Profile to discover your interview style to nail your next job interview   #jobsearch #howtofindajob #getanewjob #interviewprep #interviewtips

Replying to @SloaneTilliePoppy 2 Questions To Ask In Job Interviews To Reveal Their (True) Leadership Style 🤔😉😜😳. There are questions you can ask in a job interview they can help you figure out what the hiring manager will really be like to work for. A lot of times they say one thing but don’t really mean it. These two questions I’ve been teaching for years as a way to understand exactly what they value in an employee. What you wanna do is listen closely to see if what they say actually matches up with what they claimed their leader ship style is. And if you don’t like what you hear, I would say pass on the job opportunity! I also encourage you to prepare for interviews as best you can. That’s why my new TikTok series teaches you how to answer the 18 Tofas behavioral questions so that you can now the interview and stand out. That way they’ll really want to make sure That they pick you for the job and then you’ll sit in the driver seat and it’ll be up to you to decide if you want them! ##tiktokseries##interviewtips##interviewtipsandtricks##interviewquestions##interviewquestionsandanswers##interviewprep##interviewpreparation##behavioralquestion##careertok##careeradvice##careertiktok##careercoach##interviewcoach##jobinterview##jobinterviewquestions##jobinterviewtips

Replying to @Krit How To Overcome Pre-Recorded & One-Way Video Job Interview Anxiety 🥺🙁😩😬. Unfortunately, there is a massive increase in the amount of companies that are doing one-way. Pre-recorded job interviews. They’re doing this because it saves a lot of time in the scheduling of interviews. You get to record this at your convenience and then they can watch them at theirs. However, you lose the interaction that happens when two people are together conversing. I get it, there’s nothing worse than recording your answers, and not knowing what the person on the other side is thinking or feeling. That said one of the ways to lean into this process because it’s not going to go away, is to do a better job of prepping for job interviews. Specifically the behavioral questions that you get asked. These are the open ended questions they ask you so that they get more than one word answer. Do you want to learn how to use the experience plus learn equals grow model to answer it in a concise and on point fashion. That way you can give them the right amount of information and sound truly authentic. I’m so lucky to be partnering with TikTok, who let me create a series why answer all 18 of the hardest, behavioral questions, and use the framework so that you can create answers for yourself, so that when you do these recorded videos, you won’t be so nervous and can reduce your anxiety. Trust me these aren’t going away so better to learn the skill now so that you can crush the job interview and get the job you want! ##tiktokseries##interviewtips##videointerviews##videointerviewtips##interviewtipsandtricks##interviewquestions##interviewquestionsandanswers##interviewprep##interviewpreparation##interviewpreparationcoaching##behavioralquestion##careertok##careercoach##careeradvice##careertok##careertiktok##jobinterview##interviewcoach##jobinterviewquestions##jobinterview##jobinterviewquestion

Why You Should Ask This 1 QUESTION At The End Of Every Job Interview! 👍❤️👆🙋‍♀️🙋‍♂️🍀 There's one question that I teach every job secret to ask at the end of every single job interview. that's because it will help you be less anxious and worried and wondering what's happening next. you want to ask them what the next steps in the process are so that they can help you understand and manage the timeline. but more importantly that then gives you the opportunity to follow up and ask if it's okay if you contact them on a certain date to see where you are in the process. this gives you peace of mind because you know you're going to get an answer one way or another and you're not left hanging. a lot of people end up getting job crushes and sit around and don't look for any more jobs while they're waiting to hear. if you know there's a date coming then you can push the job Crush aside and keep looking for additional jobs. that way you won't be disappointed when you call on that day in the event you don't get the job. it's really important that you manage your own expectations and this is one of the best ways to do it. if you're looking for my master plan for interview prep I've got a great course along with 13 others over at my company workitdaily.com. there's a 7-day free trial where you can access the courses and learn what you need to about job search and especially interview prep. or if you just need a quick fix I've got this incredible tiktok series here that helps you understand how to answer the toughest 18 behavioral questions that get asked most in job interviews. check out the link below. I hope it helps! #interviewquestions #interviewtipsandtricks #interviewquestionsandanswers #interviewprep #interviewpreparation #askthis #interviewhelp #careertiktok #howto #tiktokseries #careeradvice #jobsearchtips #jobinterview #jobinterviewtips

##tiktokseries##interviewtips##videointerviews##videointerviewtips##interviewtipsandtricks##interviewquestions##interviewquestionsandanswers##interviewprep##interviewpreparation##interviewpreparationcoaching##behavioralquestion##careertok##careercoach##careeradvice##careertok##careertiktok##jobinterview##interviewcoach##jobinterviewquestions##jobinterview##jobinterviewquestion

ur Internet Big Sister teaching you about how to prep for a job interview 🤓 🤫 in job interviews there are all these secret “signals” or “cues” that tell the interviewer you’re a capable professional 🤷🏼‍♀️ but whether we know it or not, a lot of these micro mannerisms are kinda classist—they’re not taught in school but rather by your community. Use others names as much as you can. You got this! 💫 #career #careertiktok #careeradvice #careertok #careermode #edutok #tiktoktaughtme #learnontiktok #corporate #college #internship #resume #coverletter #job #funny #hrtiktok #careercoach #jobinterview #jobinterviewtips #jobinterviewquestions #interviewtips #interviewquestions #genz #millennial #wfh #workfromhome #remotejob #boss #manager #9to5 #interviewprep
