BMI (Body Mass Index) is a useful tool for assessing health, but remember that BMI is just one factor among many when considering surgical safety. Each patient is unique and has individual health circumstances. Patient safety with best aesthetic outcomes are the hallmarks of my practice and care. This means that each patient is carefully and individually evaluated! It’s not all about the BMI. Other important factors such as blood pressure, diabetes and smoking are important considerations to ensure my patients’ safety during surgery. That’s why pre-operative assessments, surgical plans, and post-operative care are personalized to minimize complications. Ultimately, it is my anesthetist who will make the final assessment and decision regarding each patient’s candidacy for safe surgery. But having a higher BMI does not automatically preclude you or block you from having surgery! 🦋#BMI #Surgery #Transgender #PatientSafety #Health #DoctorsOfTikTok #FYP #ForYourPage #FAQ #BodyMassIndex #TopSurgery #GenderAffirmingSurgery #RisksAndComplications
