This is seriously SO COOL! At one point, this brick factory was one of the largest in the area. It changed hands many times but was commonly known as the United Brick Corporation. The mud used to make the bricks was gathered from the nearby Anacostia River. Bricks made here were used to construct several important buildings like the National Cathedral, the New Executive Office Building, and renovations made to the National Building Museum.
