Consistency is hard. It's even harder when you set yourself up to fail. The trap: We desperately want to get to our goal. This makes us choose actions that we think will get us there quickest. But these actions usually use up excessive energy reserves. Like sprinting off the start line in a marathon. You quickly get burnt out and this coincides with a drop in motivation when that initial. Burst of motivation fades. You now feel stuck as you run of of energy This is the dip. Where you've started but theres no reward in sight. Because you were so hasty at the beginning. The next significant checkpoint is the finish line which is so far away you can't see it. Now that goal. Feels overwhelmikg and you want to stop. And place mini goals along the way which will give you something to aim for. And you will experience the reward of hitting them which will fuel you to the next one.
