Everyone didn’t understand why I bought a neglected house that needed a lot of work. I thought I’d found a gem! It was the worst house in the perfect location. It was well below market value, making tge investment worthwhile. The entire room was covered in nicotine stains and smoke. The builders literally ripped everything out to start anew. The room underwent a full rewire from top to bottom, new coving, doors, skirting, architraves, panelling, carpets etc. It’s unrecognisable now. It was a labour-intensive process, but with each new addition, the room began to take shape into the vision I had in mind. Now, the master bedroom is unrecognisable. The reno has also significantly increased the value of the house. What was once slated as a foolish investment is now seen as a wise decision.
