RUNNING HAPPENS IN THE AIR🏃🏻♂️💨 And if we can get an athlete to👇🏽 1) Focus on “Falling” through their sprint 2) Stay in their “Athletic Posture” 3) Create fast “Wheels” with their feet Then we start to see them utilize more spinal extension & flexion which is HOW THE FASTEST ATHLETES ARE MOVING! A perfect example is watching a cheetah run in SLO-MO versus a dog. The cheeta’s lumbar spine & pelvis has way more movement in the air during their legs cyclical action, which sets up BIGGER collisions each stride (AKA more “force”) And the dog is much more stiff & “stuck” through its lumbar/pelvic region… But, that info might be only cool to know for movement nerds like me🤓 If you are just an athlete who wants an easier cue to run FASTER, Then emphasize STAYING IN AN ATHLETIC POSTURE (and never come out of it) & focus on creating “Wheels” in the air… Now get outside and start runnin’!💥😎 #speedtraining #speeddrills #runfaster #speedworkout #volleyballworkout #volleyballtraining #trainlikeanathlete
