Quick Cast Tip πͺ Broken bones are a common healthcare challenge, with distal radius fractures accounting for 17.5% of all fractures. Traditional cast materials include plaster and (more commonly) fiberglass. All bone fracture casting materials have certain limitations, such as lack of mechanical and water resistance, poor hygiene, and odors. In general, fiberglass casting materials provide a lighter, more water-resistant and colorful alternative. Newer 3D-printed material options are becoming available and offering custom-fit, and even superior lightweight/water-resistance. #brokenbones #fiberglasscast #armcast . Have you had a cast?
