Dishes I Grew Up On: Burekas The ultimate comfort food 🙌 • Boil yellow potatoes in salty water until fork tender, drain the transfer to mixing bowl. Sauté 1 white onion until browned, add to mixing bowl and incorporate. Season with chicken bouillon (~1.5 tbs) salt and pepper to taste. Place ~ 1 tbs of mashed potato mixture on one half of your puff pastry and slightly flatten. Place other half of puff pastry on top and pinch ends to seal it. Cut off excess dough if there is any. Brush the top with egg wash and sprinkle with sesame seeds. Bake in the oven at 400 degrees for ~25-30 minutes. Enjoy with a hard boiled egg, pickles and zhug. For best results use fatty lamb and cook over charcoal. Key ingredient is called Ras El Hanout!
