I ate a whole lotta crispy, salty insects at this market in Mexico City. They were all suprisingly pretty damn good. The ants feed on cacao seeds and have a slight chocolatey flavor. This was quite the experience and I still don’t know how I feel about it from an ethical standpoint. I do know that if something is accepted by a culture I am not one to condemn it and helping small businesses is always something I can get behind. For those concerned, none of this is illegal.
