Recipe below 👇 Follow me #shakilaskitchenandvlogs Ingredients: For the cake 200g butter ( room temp or slightly melted) 200g caster or granulated sugar 3 large eggs 200g self raising flour 2-3 tablespoons cocoa powder 8” cake tin Baking time 50 minutes at 170c Chocolate Ganache: 250ml double cream 200g milk chocolate 1 hour chilling time in the fridge Instructions: 1- Preheat oven to 170°C fan oven. Lightly grease 1 x 8 inch round deep cake pan with butter and line base with parchment paper. 2- Whisk butter and sugar together until combined add eggs one at a time and beat well. Sift flour and cocoa powder into the mixture and beat until smooth and creamy. 3- Pour batter into cake pan and bake for 45-50 minutes or until a wooden skewer inserted into the centre comes out clean.
4- Let cool for 10 minutes, then turn out onto wire racks to cool completely before frosting. 5- Break chocolate into small pieces and add it to a bowl. Boil double cream and pour over the chocolate. Let it sit for 10 minutes and stir until dissolved.
