Around 10 weeks pregnant I checked into the ER on a friday night and the doctor told me the ultrasound confirmed there was no baby in my belly. That following monday I had blood work done at my OBGYN and they told me my HCG levels were back to normal. About 4 weeks later I went to a walk in clinic thinking I had the flu and they told me I was pregnant. I remember telling them there was absolutely no way. I went to my OB the same day to have more test done and a ultrasound showing a healthy baby that I had never lost. I remember the ultrasound tech saying “you never lost that baby”. At 38 weeks pregnant Jasper was born by emergency c section. The next day he passed away in the comfort of my arms and on my chest due to complications from a car accident. I got to spend 9 months growing my sweet angel. It was an honor to spend more time with you then I thought I had. Your big brother and mommy loves you. We miss you and talk about you often. We tell everyone about you and have your pictures everywhere. This pup is the best thing that could have happened to our family for Delilah. She’s was sent with 1 job and she does it very well! Winter cries the second Delilah is out of her sight. Now she is only like this with Delilah, she’ll play with summer & Jax, but shes different and extremely protective of Delilah. I guess we’ll tell the story of how she became a part of our family. To be honest we didn’t want a dog, we didn’t have time for one being at the hospital all the time. I even told my mom please don’t bring her before she’s potty trained. Now We can’t image our family without her. She was born in Rosarito Mexico, my grandfather (Delilahs great grandpa) handpicked winter for Delilah. He was adamant that she needed a Dog and he was going to get her one. There was a litter he saw up the road from my mother’s home is over there. He picked winter out before her mom and the entire liter was tragically ran over by someone that didn’t see them. Winter was the only survivor and her ear happened to get nipped in the accident. One ear now sits a little higher than the other. But she’s beautiful and perfect just the way she is. When we are home the only time she leaves Delilah’s side is to go potty & eat. If Delilah needs to use the restroom or throw up, Winter gets up, walks right by Delilah every step she takes. Sits right at her feet as she’s in the restroom and then walks right back to the wherever Delilah is laying down at. If Delilah sleeps all day winter lays guard with Delilah all day. She see us scoop Delilah up, and started panicking then jumped into Dads arms along with Delilah. Trying to get as close as possible. As Delilah was getting her port accessed here at the hospital, tears running down her face, she called out for her puppy winter. I told her that I was sure winter missed her too.
