Did you know that there are different types and models of ostomy bags? Not even mentioned in this video still are different output latches, precut ostomy bags and some other ostomy brand companies! It just comes down to accessibility. Every person has a stoma surgery for a completely different reason, and with that comes an assortment of stoma sizes! If we didn’t have options, everyone would be having consistent accidents. The variety of options, different companies all over the world, give us room to expand comfortability needs in a medical ailment usually created for longevity purposes, it would actually be wild if we didn’t have so many choices of bag types! For me, I use a Coloplast Opaque Convex bag! My stomach caves in around my stoma site, so the convex allows there to be no gaps or room for leaks! And I personally just like the opaque bags better, but I also keep on hand @Coloplast clear, convex ostomy bags, too! Clear bags allow us to monitor output and our stomas, which can be highly important right after surgeries or within serious cases! There is no right or wrong when it comes to a model of an ostomy bag, and so many companies today are still improving and creating more prototypes! Bodies are forever changing, and so is medicine. I think it’s so beautiful us ostomates have the accessibility to figure out which type of bag suits our life best! 🫶🏻 Also I have been having a lot of accounts steal and repost my content lately. The majority of the time, it’s stolen content off of TikTok where they’re able to remove the watermark. Personally I love that when you save a TikTok, it includes the watermark. It’s honestly weird behavior to find a way to go around that, to repost the content as if it’s your own.
