Starting off strong with Baked Ziti! It’s just one of those recipes that never fails. It’s comforting, satisfying, warm…everything you want on a cold day. Let me know if you make it ❤️‍🔥 - 2 T @Graza - Yellow onion, diced - 1 head of garlic, minced, to taste - 1 t Italian seasoning - 1 t red pepper, to taste - Salt and pepper, to taste - @Tony Chachere original, to taste - 1 lb hot Italian sausage, can sub mild - 1 lb lean ground beef - 28oz @Rao’s Homemade Marinara - 1 lb Ziti - 15 oz ricotta - 1 egg - 2 cups mozzarella, more to taste - 3/4 cup parmesan, plus more for topping - Fresh parsley 1. Preheat oven to 375F 2. Boil your noodles in heavily salted water, 2 minutes less than package instructions (al dente). Drain and set aside. 3. In a large pot, heat olive oil over medium heat. Add in your onion, pinch of salt, Italian seasoning, and red pepper. Cook for about 5 minutes. Add in your garlic and cook until fragrant, about 1 min. 4. Add in your sausage and beef (you might need to increase the heat here a bit). Season with salt, pepper, and Tony’s. Brown and cook until no longer pink. 5. Add in your Rao’s and stir to combine. Taste and adjust seasoning as needed. Reduce heat to low and simmer. 6. While your sauce is simmering, combine your ricotta, egg, mozzarella, parmesan, salt, and pepper in a large mixing bowl. Stir until everything is fully combined. Add in about a ladle or two of your meat sauce followed by your cooked ziti. Fold everything together. 7. In a 9x13” baking dish, add a thin layer of your sauce followed by half of your noodle mixture. Top with half of your remaining sauce, followed by half of your remaining cheese. Repeat once more: noodles, sauce, cheese. Sprinkle parmesan over the top and bake for 15 minutes and then finish under the broiler for 5 minutes. 8. It makes a big ol’ pan so we usually pop it back in the oven and eat it a 2nd day. The Perfect Baked Ziti🔥🔥 Recipe ⬇️ #EasyRecipe #BakedZiti Boil 1 1/2 Ibs of ziti one minute shy of cooking instructions, rinse in cold water. Sauce... in a pot cook 1 Ib of ground beef & 1 lb of Italian sausage, 1 diced onion, 1/2 diced bell pepper and a few sliced button mushrooms. Salt, pepper and fresh garlic to taste. Then add 2-14 oz jars of Raos tomato basil and two basil leaves. Simmer and stir for an hour, then let cool. Mix ziti with 1 cup of each... meat sauce, shedded mozzarella and ricotta cheese. Layer 9×16 inch pan in order...a cup of sauce, 1/3 of the ziti mixture, cover with slices of provolone cheese, more sauce and 1 cup of ricotta spread out, the rest of the ziti then the rest of the sauce. Smooth out pan, cover with slices of mozzarella, lightly sprinkle Italian seasoning and shredded Parmesan cheese on top. Preheat oven to 275° bake for 25 to 30 minutes (uncovered) then broil @ 400° for a 2-3 minutes until cheese is browned to your liking. Serves 8-10 people. I hope you try and enjoy !!🥰🥰

Continuing the 5 ingredient dinner series Day 14 with Baked Ziti *seasonings don't count as ingredients & Baked Ziti 1 lb ziti pasta 1 lb lean ground beef 28 ounce can crushed tomatoes or jarred sauce 8 ounce mascarpone cheese or cream cheese 3 cups shredded mozzarella cheese Seasonings: 1 tsp garlic cloves chopped, 1/2 tsp salt, 1/2 tsp pepper, 1 tsp onion powder, 1 tsp basil, 1 tbsp Italian seasoning, 1 tsp sugar Preheat oven to 350°F Bring a pot of salted water to boil and cook the ziti. Drain the pasta. Cook the ground beef over medium to medium high heat until no longer, drain grease if necessary. Add in the tomato sauce, mascarpone (or cream cheese) sugar and all seasonings. Mix together until well combined. Add in the ziti and mix again Add half the ziti mixture to a 9×13 dish. Sprinkle over half the mozzarella cheese. Pour over the rest of the ziti and top with the rest of the cheese. Cover with foil and bake 20-30 minutes until the cheese is bubbly and melty.
