What’s something you wish people would stop saying to pregnant women? High risk pregnancies, pregancies after loss, really pregnancies in general are more than than just the physical pains. It’s a mental battle as well. Instead of making comments on someone’s appearance like “Oh wow! You’re so tiny!” or “Are you sure you’re not having twins?” maybe try and ask how she’s feeling. You just never know what she’s going through. In my personal experience the shots for my blood clotting disorder hurt, the finger pricks and diet to control the gestational diabetes suck, but the mental anguish of not being able to help my baby grow despite all my efforts far outweigh any physical pain I’m experiencing. I have to ask God to give me the strength, patience, and endurance I need to just make it though the day. The fear and worry of what could happen to my baby is something I have to surrender to Him daily. So even though the load I carry appears to be light, it doesn’t mean it is. #highriskpregnancy #pregnancy #iugr #fgr #gestationaldiabetes #pregnancyafterloss #momsoftiktok
