Share if you agree 👍 🚨NEW: “SAFE pet food tips” blog now live (🔗 in my bio)👇 In this community, we prioritize: ✔️ ROTATION: Feeding only ONE brand can be risky, because guess what WILL happen eventually to most brands: recipe changes, sourcing changes, ownership change, and/or recalls - Which may force you to change brands, so I do this on my terms 👇 This is why I rotate brands, proteins and formats (ie freeze dried one week and raw the next etc). Disclaimer: of course only if this can be done safely, work with your vet as always ✔️ CLEANING: Wash hands, surfaces, & food/water bowls DAILY (yes, even if you feed kibble‼️) ✔️ TOPPERS: especially when feeding kibble, replacing ~10% of the bowl with pet safe fresh foods is great for for enrichment, hydration & added nutrients! ✔️ CARBOHYDRATES: Carbs aren’t bad, but you should know how many are in your dog’s kibble 👇 This is the formula: Protein + Fat + Moisture + Ash, then subtract 100 = estimated carbohydrates. Unfortunately, many kibbles are 50% carbs! 😬 According to Tufts.edu: “Dogs have no requirements for carbs.” Net: you get to decide what you’re comfortable with, but personally, I prefer lower to moderate carbs *primarily* from nutrient rich whole foods (not corn, cereals, grains, rice, potatoes etc) But again, I leave it up to you! Do these values align with you? If so, follow along👇 We’d love to have you ❤️ #dogfood #petfood #kibble #dogmomlife #caninenutrition #dognutrition #doghealthtips #newpuppy
