Musings inspired by a homemade Gruyère loaf 🥖🧀 Strict veganism worked for me for a long time, and I still hold entirely plant-based diets in very high regard, but a few years ago, cheese was calling my name again, and I chose to keep an open mind. As much as I have wrestled with ethical lines I choose to cross, I find that when I enjoy my life and choose not to sweat the small stuff, I’m better overall. I’m trying to lean away from legalism at this point in my life, and although I still eat a predominately plant-based diet, there’s room for nuance in all things. I’m learning to be comfortable with that in all regards, as it relates to my approach to sustainability and in my personal life.
