Innocent Cat Was Beaten With A Skateboard, Leaving Him Battered, Broken & Limping Through The Streets... Witnesses at a local apartment complex could do nothing but watch as a horrific crime unfolded. Helpless stray cat Bubba was brutally beaten with a skateboard. Weeks later, after tireless searching, the City of South Houston Animal Control team finally spotted limping across a road. They spent hours bringing him safely into their care. By pure chance, we met the city's new Animal Control director at the vet that day. She told us Bubba’s harrowing story, how incredibly sweet he was despite everything, and her concerns that the city might not be able to cover the cost of his care. After meeting Bubba for just a moment, we knew he belonged with us. We took him in on the spot. Bubba is an amazing cat. Although his leg is injured, his canine teeth are cracked, and old wounds have left his skin in rugged and brittle, he remains affectionate and trusting. He is FIV (Feline Immunodeficiency Virus) positive, which might sound scary, but it’s not a death sentence—he can still live a full, happy life. Although his FIV is incurable, we are hopeful that with continued crate rest, he will make a full recovery from his injuries. He is receiving all the medical care he needs, and in the coming weeks, he will undergo dental surgery to remove his damaged teeth. Although we don’t know all the details of that horrific day, we do know that South Houston Animal Control was able to identify and locate the individual responsible, and charges are being filed. We can’t fathom what drives someone to such cruelty, but we are grateful for the witnesses who spoke up—without them, Bubba might still be suffering alone, vulnerable to more harm. We have a new update on sweet puppy Jack ❤️ Firstly, we want to clear up any confusion. Jack is in the care of Bailing Out Bentley, a SoCal based rescue. CUDDLY is a fundraising platform that exclusively supports 501c3 animal welfare nonprofit organizations. We are WORKING WITH Bailing Out Bentley to support Jack's ongoing care. For those just joining Jack's journey, this 3-month-old puppy was found crying in pain outside a local vet clinic. His physical exam revealed severe head trauma, and his medical team believes his injuries were the result of being kicked very hard. His head became incredibly swollen and he was hospitalized in critical condition. Since his hospitalization, Jack has done a lot of sleeping as his body recovers. His MRI results were heartbreaking, as they revealed new AND old fractures to his skull. Clearly, this little boy had experienced more than his fare share of violence during his short life thus far. He will have a follow-up appointment with the neurologist in two weeks as long as he remains in stable condition. It was also confirmed that Jack's eye has ruptured. There is a small chance that scar tissue could form, allowing the eye to heal on its own. However, if that doesn't happen, the eye will need to be removed. This will prevent further infection and chronic pain. As if that wasn't enough, Jack's one good eye isn't producing tears, so he has been started on special drops to keep it lubricated and prevent ulcers. Jack has been such a trooper through all of this hardship. He has made incredible progress, but he still has a very long road to recovery ahead of him. We have a short update on sweet puppy Jack ❤️ For those just joining Jack's journey, this 3-month-old puppy was found crying in pain outside a local vet clinic. His physical exam revealed severe head trauma, and his medical team believes his injuries were the result of being kicked very hard. His head became incredibly swollen and he was hospitalized in critical condition. Jack's condition has not changed much over the past few days. He is more comfortable now that he is receiving pain management medication, but his head is still extremely swollen. However, he is eating and drinking will, which is an excellent sign. Jack is mostly sleeping as his tiny body fights to recover from this horrible trauma. Jack will be seeing a neurologist TODAY. We are hopeful he has not suffered any brain damage from this horrible abuse. He will likely need an MRI and more testing. As of now, there are still no leads on who did this to Jack. He had no tags, no microchip, and no cameras in the area captured anything related to his abandonment. Jack is not available for adoption right now as his condition is still considered critical. His rescue is overwhelmed by the interest from so many people to take him in, but what Jack needs more than anything right now are donations to support his intensive care. When he is ready for his forever home, Jack will be adoptable to California residents only as his rescue does not offer out-of-state or overseas adoptions. Monstrous Human KICKS Tiny Puppy In The Face Then Dumps Him In The Middle Of The Night... As a Good Samaritan approached the doors of an animal hospital with their own pet, they noticed a small, shivering puppy crying uncontrollably. He couldn't have been more than three months old. His forehead was swollen, especially around his eye. The Good Samaritan rushed Jack inside, where the heartbreaking truth of this sweet boy's past was revealed. Jack's finder couldn't afford the emergency care this poor boy needed, but they didn't want to take him to a shelter, where he would likely be euthanized. Thankfully, the vet team reached out to rescuers, and we immediately agreed to take him in. We rushed over to the hospital, and our hearts broke at the first sight of poor Jack. His head had almost doubled in size, and there was a wound just above one of his eyes. We had no doubt this little baby had been brutally abused. A thorough vet exam confirmed our theory. Based on his injuries, it is most likely that Jack was kicked in the head. We have no idea how someone could be so cruel as to do this to an innocent 12-week-old puppy. Perhaps they didn't realize how bad the injury was and dumped him near a vet in the hopes of not getting caught. Whatever the case might have been, there is no excuse for this. Jack is now receiving IV fluids, anti-inflammatories, and pain management medication. He still needs to undergo an MRI to check for any indication of brain damage, but as of now, he has displayed no concerning symptoms. He is still terrified and in shock, but we are doing everything we can to help him heal, physically and emotionally, from the trauma he's endured. Broken & Paralyzed Husky Collapses Outside Dollar Store BEGGING For Help After Suffering Critical Injury... Brady the #Husky had become a fixture in his community over the past few weeks, seen regularly around the local Dollar Store. Compassionate strangers had left him food and blankets, but he spent countless lonely nights on the cold streets of Cleveland, TX. However, Brady's situation became critical after a debilitating injury left him screaming to his friends for help. Brady was the victim of a bone-shattering #hitandrun that left him seemingly paralyzed. The driver didn't even bother to stop, so Brady dragged his battered body to the only home he knew: the Dollar Store.
