Every morning, we wake up, get dressed, and put on our uniforms to head to work. For me, my day starts much earlierâwith a different kind of uniform. Around Fajr time, I like to put on my thobe and step into what I call 'Allahâs company.' Of course, you donât need to wear a thobe to pray, but for me, itâs become a personal practiceâa symbol of simplicity, cleanliness, and modesty. Itâs easy to wear, minimal in design, and it sets the tone for the rest of my day. Wearing it feels like Iâm gearing up for the most important meeting of the dayâstanding before my Creator. It reminds me that everything starts with Him and that even the smallest choices, like what I wear, can carry intention. After that, I swap out my thobe for the uniform that takes me to my worldly job, but that first uniform? Itâs a reminder that the ultimate purpose of everything I do is for His sake.
