I have reached out to shelters and rescues all over Colorado for Luna to no avail. Her allergies tend to steer people away and they’re really not that bad. -I think she’s about 5/6 years old -her OG owner, 4 people ago, was evicted smd took her to a shelter. She was immediately on the euthanasia list. - Not spayed yet ( I got her to a cardiologist and they cleared her for surgery) - Needs to be the only pet - Older children/teens preferred in the home, if any. ( she’s been around toddlers and younger children with previous former adopters, but they were too rough with her. She has developed new insecurities with children.) - She is on Zignature kangaroo protein right now. It seems to be doing well with her allergies. - Highly considering asking a contract/rehoming fee be sure who takes her can afford her. The rehoming fee will be put toward lunas monthly allergy shot and any supplies she might need. 💚💚💚 It is so important whoever adopts her can afford it and keep up with her vet visits for basic care or as needed. And that they don’t mind doing ear cleanings a few times a week along with hot spot cream as needed. I will run a background check and do a home check as usual. I will be vetting harder than I did the last adopters since they left her. 💚💚💚 And a reminder- I am not Lunas owner, I have been trying to rehome her since my brother dumped her at the shelter a few years ago. I already have 3 dogs and I’m lucky enough to have a sitter for them for now. I’m willing to travel out of state to find her the perfect home.
