Halloween Spider Chocolate Chip Cookies Dough 1/2 cup unsalted browned butter 1/4 cup sugar 1/2 cup dark brown sugar 1 egg 2 tsp vanilla extract 1/4 tsp salt 1/2 tsp baking soda ~1/2 cup of chocolate chips 1 cup AP flour Topping 1/4 cup melted chocolate chips 👩🏼🍳DIRECTIONS: To make the cookie dough, first brown your butter in a small pan. Let the butter melt until specks of brown appear in the pan, remove from heat and cool. Then add the sugars to the butter and mix until combined. Then add the egg (room temp!!) and vanilla extract. Mix until combined again. Sift in your flour, baking soda, and salt next. Mix until a rough cookie dough forms. Throw your chocolate chips into the mix and combine thoroughly until a cookie dough is formed. Wrap up and refrigerate for 30min-1 hour. To bake, line a tray with parchment paper or a mat. Roll the cold cookie dough into balls. Add a few extra chocolate chips upside on top (this will be for the spiders). The cookies will spread so feel free to put 3-4 chips on top. Bake them at 350F for 10-12 minutes. Let cool completely. Then using a plastic baggie filled with some melted chocolate, pipe on thin little legs for the spiders.
