Get to know our oldest and longest-staying adoptable pet: Kaya! 🩷 This beautiful malamute mix is around 10 years old and looking for the comfy retirement home of her dreams. Kaya has severe arthritis in her hips and hocks, and takes daily medication to help with this. Since she’s a senior lady, we recommend that Kaya be seen by a vet at least twice per year. One of Kaya’s biggest obstacles is that she’s looking for a home with no other pets. She loves people, but doesn’t appreciate having to share her space (or her people’s attention). Kaya has proven herself to be mischievous at times, but makes up for her shenanigans through her calm demeanor and beautiful singing voice. Too Cute Tuesday featuring Splenda! Splenda is around 3 months old, neutered, up to date on vaccines, and all ready to find his loving forever home 💙 This *sweet* kitty arrived at HSoP with his sister Stevia, and has proven to be the more extroverted of the two. He's playful as can be, and has grown to really enjoy human company. We call him a "purr machine" sometimes, because he sounds like a tiny engine as soon as a visitor approaches his kennel. Splenda is a happy, healthy, and curious kitten who is sure to spread joy wherever he goes. He gets along wonderfully with his sister, but we aren't sure how he would behave around dogs or other cats. We do offer a seven-day foster period with each adoption to ensure a good fit for the whole family. Splenda is 100% ready for adoption and will leave HSoP with a microchip containing his new owner's information.
