Why is Chlorine bad? ☠️ Chlorine sits on top of the water, making it easy to inhale into your lungs and ingest into your body. When Chlorine is combined with other things like sweat, urine, skin, hair, makeup, or lotions, it creates a harmful chemical known as haloacetic acids or HAAs. HAAs are linked to a host of health problems, including cancer, asthma, liver damage, damage to the nervous system, hormonal disruption, congenital disabilities sites, skin, eye, and throat irritation. A study conducted by the American Chemical Society suggests HAAs are present in the urine of swimmers 30 minutes after they’ve left the pool and the levels were even higher in children. When you spray vitamin C on chlorine, it forms hydrochloric acid and dehydroascorbic acid, effectively neutralizing the harmful toxin. We use the spray before swimming in chlorinated pools or showering in public places that don’t use a water filter (like the one we have at home). Simply spray down your entire body before going in to pool, and after you get out. (You can also spray when reapplying sunscreen as well). #themoreyouknow #nontoxicliving #nontoxichome #nontoxicmama #momlife #firsttimemom #pool #swimming #summer #summervibes #momhack #monhacks #momlife #momsofinstagram #crunchymom #crunchymama #summermusthave #summermusthaves #vitaminc #vitamincspray #toxinfree #toxinfreeliving #toxinfreehome #babymama
