To all moms reading this: Your reaction matters. ✨ Dahil papalapit na ang Mother's day, share ko sainyo tong story on how and why I preserve the flowers that my son gives me. 🌸 Hindi ko alam kailan nagsimula pero ever since madalas kami lumabas labas at mag travel, Asher will randomly pick flowers for me. Sasabihin niya "mama, flowers for you" Then yung reaction ko, super na appreciate ko yung sweet gesture niya na yun. "Wow. So sweet of you naman. It's so beautiful." Then, pinipicture-ran ko. Kinekwento ko sa mga tao. Hanggang sa every time na nasa labas kami at may makita siyang flowers, bibigay niya sakin. Paguwi, iiipit ko sa bible yung mga flowers to preserve it. And eventually pag madami dami na, I'll frame it. I want to look back on these memories. Because time is indeed, short. I want to have a remembrance dito sa moment na to, sa sweetness niya, sa innocence niya, yung thought na "I'm his whole world at this stage in life" because eventually, he'll have his own life. And I want to cherish this moment. To all moms watching this. If you receive flowers on mother's day, try to preserve it by pressing in on a thick book. Hindi kailangan lahat, kahit pili ka lang ng isa o dalawa then, ipitin mo sa makapal na book. And wait for a few days for it to completely dry. Then, frame it. Be appreciative sa mga binibigay sainyo ng kids niyo. Maparelo man yan from your older kids o kahit dahon pa yan from your little ones. Your reaction matters. And if wala kang natanggap, it's okay. They still love you no matter what. Your value as a mother comes not from what you do or what your kids give you on mother's day. Your value as a mother comes from who you are in Christ and His great and unconditional love for you. Advance happy mother's day, mama. #mothersday #mothersdaygift #mothersdayspecial #boymama #boymom
