The amount of phone chargers I’ve had to buy, the jewlery I’ve lost, the keys or credit cards I’ve misplaced…. it all. adds. up. The hardest part in these moments is realizing that instead of trying to "fix" my forgetfulness, the better thing to do is to extend myself grace. Because I am going to forget again. I will inevitably continue to lose things. And when I do, I want to know I have my own back. That I can count on myself for a warm hug and some comfort, not criticism.
