My weight loss journey has been the longest journey of my entire life. Here’s what I have learned the past year: 1. Trying your best is actually better than perfection. For so many years, I thought that my calories had to be exact. I thought I needed to workout for 30 minutes for it to count. I thought I had to be losing 2 lbs a week or it wasn’t working. That is all SO FALSE. I have truly taken my sweet time the last year. I have let myself enjoy weekends and vacations where I gained some weight back. I have eaten the sweet treats I have craved. I have taken time off of the gym when I knew it wasn’t serving me. And that’s okay. Because progress is possible without perfection. 2. I will never lose weight if I don’t love the current version of myself. I spent years trying to hate myself skinny. It didn’t work. Once I figured out what was happening in my brain, things finally started to click. Nobody wants to be nice to someone they can’t stand, right? Yourself included. I learned to truly love me and now I do the things I know will serve her instead of hurt her. We don’t hurt those we truly love. 3. It’s okay if it happens slow. It’s okay if it takes YEARS. That’s how the habits are truly built and maintained. If you resonated with any of this, hit that follow button. I’d love to have more friends on this journey 🫶🏼🫶🏼🫶🏼 #weightlossprogress #weightlossmotivation #weightlossdiary
