Switch up your words, even if you're just talking to yourself (especially if you're thinking about it to yourself) because this helps you think, my child's doing the best they can. Sometimes the words we use can imply that it's the child's fault, that they're doing is purposeful and not behavior that we want. If we flip up our words when we're talking about them and thinking about them, then it changes our mindset into one that seeks to understand why they're having a hard time. Now you can think to yourself, “Something is hard-they probably want to feel good and try new foods. How can I understand them and help?” And when we take that approach, they’re going to feel it- that we understand them, we're there to help them, and we love them for who they are right now. #responsivefeeding #toddlers #pickyeater #babyledweaning #sensoryprocessing #texture #newfoods #startingsolids #anxiouseater #trust #toddlermom #toddlerparent #toddlerdad #parentingtips #familymeals #adhd #autism
