honestly every time I travel/have an event/WHATEVER, my first thought is: oh! Looks like I need to go shopping! But then I catch myself. I think about what I actually NEED, and then take a good look at what I already own. A lot of the time, I end up falling in love again with pieces I already have, and maybe haven’t worn in a while. I do inventory: what needs to be replaced? What don’t I have as it is? Do I ACTUALLY need to be buying things? Most of the time, the answer is no. I’ll see maybe an outfit that I really love and will get as a treat, or replace some old swimwear. But I’m still rocking $20 pieces from H&M from 10 years ago! Consuming more thoughtfully and slowly is something the vast majority of us can get better at (including me!). It’s hard to ignore the incessant pressure of BUY BUY BUY that we see around us at all times, buts it’s so good to be mindful of ❤️ #overconsumption #travellingwithkids #travelblogger #stmartin
