Replying to @EMoney Running With Shelter Dogs🖤 Josie is very fearful 😨 you must understand where your rescue dog is coming from when you adopt them. They have PTSD humans have done horrible things to them. You’d be surprised what your dog is capable of when you put them into situations that you know they are built for. Running changes lives! Josie would be a phenomenal dog. But at first glance you’d think her fear will hold her back. And you might even think “she needs to go to training” ima tell you the truth. Josie doesn’t need to know sit or come or stay. She needs to do what her body and breed were meant to do. If you just adopted a dog and they are fearful like this, this is just the reality of it. And in my word this is where politics come in “WHY WOULD YOU FORCE HER TO DO THAT?!” It’s because I am for the dogs. I am not for your opinion. Dogs are not logical creatures I can’t tell her “hey after this run you’ll feel so good” I have to just show her. At first it’s not pretty. Before you demand your dogs to listen to you or respect you ask yourself if you are biologically fulfilling them. Once you start giving your dog outlets for them to be a DOG your relationship and your dog’s behavior problems will get so much better I promise. But we can also help him🐶 his forever owner is out there somewhere. ***he needs a loose fit prong collar or his skin and hair will rub off*** Elmo was left to rot and die as he baked in the sun leaving his body hairless. He’s been through a lot and as you can see he’s READY to live the life he deserves. He’s about 3-4 years old and has had ZERO shelter interest because of how he looks. She was pulled from the fighting rings and has had no interest for two years.. HER! Are you kidding me?? She’s incredible.
