What does this mean? ⤵️ When Bernini designed the colonnade of St Peter square, he had in mind “a forest of columns” made of travertine stone. If you walk in the colonnade in fact, it does feel like walking in a forest. But things don’t look the same from different point of views.. In fact, if you step on the grey disk in the center of the square and look at the colonnade.. it won’t look like a “forest” of columns anymore! 😮 These kind of optical illusions can also be interpreted with a deeper meaning. To see things as they really are, you should be standing in the correct point of view. Not just physically, but also mentally. You need to have the right mindset, the right knowledge, and you will be able to see the real side of things. Even if it’s just about stone columns. And anyways, Bernini left us speechless one more time 😊 Want to discover more Rome gems with us? ➡️ go to our LINK IN BIO 😊 #rome #rometravel #rometours #rometourguide #romeitaly #whatitalyis #rometravelers #romeitalytravel #romethingstodo #romeplaces #romerightnow #rometraveltips #romesecrets #romeviews #hiddengems
