Replying to @Brie 🐱🐶 AD | The broccoli stalk is the most delicious part of the vegetable and I won't be taking any questions. I'm still shocked people throw away their broccoli stems. I love roasting the stems or making this broccoli stem slaw. The secret is fine julienne chops, and having a good sharp knife makes this task so enjoyable. The knife I'm using is from @WÜSTHOF and quality knives are meant to last a lifetime if you take care of them. After all, taking care of your things is one of the best ways to practice sustainability at home. Broccoli stem slaw Ingredients: 1 cup peeled and julienned broccoli stem (about 1 medium broccoli stem) 1 cup julienned carrots 1 cup julienned green apples 1 cup julienned red peppers 2 cloves garlic, minced 2 tablespoons of olive oil 2 tablespoons soy sauce or tamari 1 tablespoon rice vinegar 1/2 teaspoon sesame oil Juice of 1/2 lime Directions: 1.
