I get wood from Prince Lumber on West 47th. It's very much a big warehouse of wood with a hardware store/ office in the middle. They make the cuts for you and charge $2.50 per cut. They have a little scrap wood section I look through because it's cheaper. I paid $32! They're always really nice and helpful but going there by myself can be intimidating, I'm always the only girl surrounded by contractors.
