As a parent, what things are important to correct or discipline versus just let go and ignore? You want to address everything, but it’s the approach that differs depending on what it is. So for example tantrums are not bad behavior. They’re just a loss of emotional control about not getting their own way. That’s why I ignore the tantrum itself. You’re right there with them, staying calm, but I wouldn’t discuss the tantrum before, during, or after. Same goes with attitude. It will organically take care of itself when you’re a leader. But if they’re doing something bad like an action, I never let that go. Here’s the thing, when you’re starting out with becoming a leader, you can’t address it all at once. Deal with one thing per week, and build onto the momentum. Not sure where to start in your calm leadership journey?
