Yesterday , I visited @villabatealba one of the most famous Sicilian bakeries in New York City, located in Brooklyn . It was here that I met a man who has dedicated 50 years of his life to this beautiful craft. Fifty years of passion, hard work, and love for what he does. Witnessing his devotion reminded me why I love doing what I do—meeting incredible people who came to the U.S. with a dream and built something extraordinary. This is what the American dream is all about: hard work, perseverance, and turning passion into reality. Last night I got the chance to finally tell the mayor of Palermo what I’ve always wanted to say to someone in the government and ask why Italy still doesn’t fully believe in promoting the territory on social media. I think it’s really important. I directly asked him why there has never been any recognition for all the work I’ve always done for Sicily worldwide. Thanks, Mayor, for your response. 🇮🇹 Ieri sera ho finalmente detto al sindaco di Palermo quello che ho sempre pensato di dire a qualcuno delle istituzioni e ho chiesto perché l’Italia non investe al massimo nella promozione del territorio sui social. Secondo me è una cosa fondamentale. Gli ho chiesto direttamente perché non ho mai ricevuto un elogio per tutto il lavoro che ho fatto per la Sicilia nel mondo. Grazie sindaco per la risposta.
