Someone asked if hogan lays down on command and ive worked with him enough that if i ask ‘lay down’ quite often he does but i believe its because he knows every single for 2 1/2 years when he lays down he gets groomed scratched and plenty of treats so it’s something he enjoys and be relates being asked to lay down with reward same as a dog learns.. its also the easiest time for me to pick his hooves out sinnce hes not great holding them up for me..he usually lays down twice during the day late morning and late afternoon .. he loves his retirement routine here.. as you can see for a big older draft 1800lbs its not as graceful a lay down as the lighter athletic built horses 😂 and without fail he always lets out his hogan farts 😂 #hogan #hogansstory #horserescue #rescuehorse #trust #laydown #trained #horsesoftiktok #horsetok #hearthorse
