I get many comments saying change the brick... I usually have this cement dye in the go for many bricks at once multitasking around the building. The effort to find an imperial brick to match that has weathered the same and then notch it around the cill and get full muck beds including the top of it is simply not quicker than 10 or 15 mins or so of doing this. I've tried it all. Why put people down that take a different approach? Only comment negatively if you are doing it better yourself, it is that simple. This process allows for so many rawlplug holes etc to easily be repaired in seconds too. PRODUCTS... Everbuild powder dyes, I use yellow, blue, red and black and my white rapid adhesive which is my mix is what I use for controlling the light tones as in add more to make it lighter... any non slump adhesive is fine. Rapid is ideal! PROCESS... Get a bag of rapid white adhesive and the dyes as stated above. Mix colours with the adhesive and do test patches against the desired brick and use a heat gun to see how it dries so that you can be confident in the colour finish. Apply the adhesive and get a heat gun on it and spray water on it at the same time so that it can still set without drying out before the natural set process but it allows the heat to accelerate the cure to something more similar to postcrete. The adhesive will form a skin on the surface almost straight away meaning manipulating the shape and texture is very easy and the surface doesn't turn to powder like sand and cement would if heat was utilised.
