Things I did to prepare… 1. Hospital Wishlist (the golden hour, specific needs for me and baby during and after surgery etc) 2. I read more books on postpartum care instead of baby books. I cant take care of my baby if l’m not taking care of myself. 3. Asked for alot of help for toddler and house. The baby is with me most of the time. 4. Created the most comfortable space in my room for me and baby to relax in for the first month. Stocked with everything we both need. 5. Didnt set any expectations for breastfeeding but was prepared for breastfeeding, pumping and formula. 6. Stocked lots of muslin swaddles for spit up (game changer), stretchy zip onesies, lots of bottles, protein snacks for me, lmnt. 7. Put a place to lay baby down in each room so I’m not struggling to prepare bottles, laundry etc with only one arm.
