New Rescue Alert! Everyone Meet the 4x4 babies! We were out doing TNR when the owner of the home let us know that one of the cats had recently given birth to 5 kittens in her backyard. We were able to find the babies hidden underneath some bikes and a cardboard box. Unfortunately, when we found them, there were only 3 kittens when the day before there had been 5. This put us in a hard position. We always want the kittens to be with mom when possible, but if we took mom and there were still 2 babies, then they wouldn't survive. If we left the babies and the other 2 kittens had been killed or gotten sick, we were putting their lives at risk. We got these babies right before a storm was blowing in, so we thought mom might have been in the process of moving them to a safer place? We opted to take the three kittens and have the homeowner watch over mom to see if she led them to the other two. It's been over 2 weeks now, and the babies were never spotted again 💔 The three kittens we do have, have been doing amazing. We bottle fed them the first night, and then they went to our newest bottle, baby foster, Griselda 🤗 They came back to us last week for deworming and to have their photos taken. They are the cutest little nuggets and healthy as can be. We will be back to get mom for TNR on April 25th. These three cuties are available for pre-adoption. They won't be ready to go home until they grow big enough for their spay and neuter surgeries. If you're interested in pre-adopting, please fill out an adoption application by visiting the link in our bio @catsofsanbernardino. It's kittens season, and we are getting SO MANY rescue pleas. If you're available to foster kittens, kittens with mom, or bottle babies, please let us know! We cannot do it all ourselves, we need your support! Ps we named these kittens after Dodge and Jeep vehicles because the yard was filled with them 🤗
