It's shocking how well the sound these make carry! This is a fun one to practice mashing a bunch of colors together while they are wet so they blend and bleed together. The head wobbles used to be so restrained! This week really got away from me and so I haven't had a ton of time to paint, so I thought we could revisit one of my favorite paintings from last year. This is around the time that the make it dry dance started and now that it's so exaggerated, it's really funny to see how small they started! This one is all about layering. Lots of wet colors in the first layer, a few flicks in the second, and then we use white gel pen and a felt tip pen. I used my Unicorn Food watercolors plus a few of my handmade colors. This video predates my current favorite white gel pen, because I didn't even know it existed at this time last year! I painted with a size 4 quill brush in my little watercolor journal. The pen is just a cheap felt tip pen. When you're working on top of dry watercolor, the pen doesn't matter as much. #easyart #watercolor #watercolorlessons #easywatercolor
