When she got the crowd singing and had the biggest smile on her face … must feel surreal to have all those people belting your songs, all that love and positive energy coming at ya. That was prettttty cool! The temp felt like it dropped considerably while we were watching. Street lights came on, birds started chirping. We didn’t have totality here, but came pretty close! The girls didn’t look at it, I told them not to look and they immediately tried so was a bit nervous they would rip the glasses off or peek from under them. They were content to sit outside with us and watch the world go a little darker. Did you end up watching the eclipse?!

In classic Kare fashion, I filmed making the girl’s Easter baskets and then things got way too hectic for me to edit the damn video so I haven’t had time to until today- normally I would just say screw it, better luck next year but I filled the girl’s baskets with creative activities we love and I think a lot of other parents/ kids would love too! This is my first year making Easter baskets - I’m not a fan of buying unnecessary stuff (trying to PURGE right now and tap into my minimalism era) but I’ve always liked the idea of making something special for them - I am truly just a master procrastinator. We had a 6 hour drive up north to see my grandparents, so I filled their basket with things I wanted to get to keep them occupied in the car anyways. These things kept them busy in the car, as well as restaurants we went to!
