More about this👇🏻 The supernatural gift of tongues is given by the Holy Spirit to the believer to speak in unknown “languages” for His Kingdom purposes! This gift can manifest in a 3 ways! 1. A different (known) language that others understand. (Acts 2) 2. A language no one understands, your mind doesn’t even understand, but it edifies your spirit as you speak to God. (1 cor 14:2;14 and Roman’s 8:26) 3. A language (known or unknown) given in a church setting that is then interpreted for the edification of the hearers. (1 Cor 14.) We should never cause our use of spiritual gifts to make us prideful or to feel superior to other Christians. They are a tool that is to be used for our personal edification, and others encouragement. Paul warned the Corinthians to not forbid this gift.
