This is the last post I will make for my charity campaign and really praying we can finally close it and reach our target or 5000 meals. I'm eternally grateful for everyone who has already donated. I have seen footage of how that money has been spent and the thousands of meals that have gone out. Dough recipe below ⬇️ 1kg plain Flour 600ml water 1tsp sugar 1tsp salt 90ml olive oil Plenty of melted butter Method Mix the flour, salt and sugar well with your fingers until fully incorporated. Slowly add the water little by little until the dough starts coming together. The water measurements are approximate and depend on your flour and the temp of the room Add the olive oil and knead well until you can form a long thick log on the bench. Start breaking off portions and knead each ball separately until soft and pliable coating with olive oil as you need to keep it supple. Place on the bench and repeat process. Dab each ball of dough with extra olive oil, then cover with cling wrap and allow to rest for 1 hour or more. After the dough is rested, grab one ball at a time and dip in melted butter and start to thin it and flatten it out using your hands. Then grab one side and gently start twirling it around your finger and make it in to another smaller portion. Repeat process with all the dough balls. Cover again with cling wrap and let rest for another hour. Grease a baking tray with plenty of butter. Flatten each dough in a round shape on to the greased tray and top with meat mixture. Place in a preheated oven of 220 degrees until lightly golden and crispy. Serve with fresh mint, veggies or tomato sauce #lahmbiajeen #meatpies #meatpizza
