Venus, named after the goddess of love. This is the painting I named my most recent solo show after. Venus is a romantic piece. A playful balance of soft coral paired with strong white stone. The little details on this one are endless and fascinating. Delightfully feminine, warm and inviting. When I started obsessing over pink, I knew I just had to pair it with my signature stone for this one. I refined it even more, creating the thinnest layer of texture possible. It was definitely a challenge but I was happy to accept. Looking at it in person, the textures blend very beautifully. Every time I work with texture I get closer and closer to the vision I have in my head. Venus came out just as I wanted her to.
