I truly cannot begin to capture what the last 2.5 years have done for me… but I can try. I moved to the mountains with a big dream fueled by ambition and determination, all on my own. From leaving high school early, to pondering my purpose for quite some time, I came back to the world of academia with a vision. The ups and downs, the arduous timelines, the unanswered question of how I’d really thrive while spread so thin, all gave me a new challenge and with those challenges, a lesson learned. And each lesson has etched away at my methods to succeed, and not just succeed, but thrive. As I stand on the precipice of this milestone, I’m filled with a myriad of emotions – pride, nostalgia, anticipation, and perhaps a tinge of apprehension. It’s a moment of reflection, not just on the academic achievements, but on the personal growth and experiences that have shaped me along the way. This diploma is a testament to the support of family, friends, mentors, and teachers who have stood by me through thick and thin, offering guidance and encouragement when I needed it most. So, as I bid farewell to this chapter of my life, I carry with me the lessons learned, the memories cherished, and the friendships forged. The work is far from done, however to say I’m now a different, more evolved person now is beyond an understatement. Thank you Western, and of course; go cats💛💜
