First time hitting a 175lb. bench press 😭 ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ I was always slightly intimidated by the bench press when I first started my gym journey. It has slowly become a staple in my training. The key for me has been perfecting my form. Finding my right hand grip, driving my feet down, bringing my armpits down towards my hips, and extending my chest up to create a slight arched position. It might appear that my booty is off the bench, but it is solidly on the bench. If you do start to incorporate the bench press I would highly recommend having a spotter there. Especially when you start going up in weight!
