Cavities, don’t just appear out of nowhere. Three key factors conspire to create these tiny craters in our teeth. First, the tooth’s surface plays a crucial role; no tooth/no cavity. Second, bacteria, notably Streptococcus mutans thrives on sugars and emit acids that erode enamel. Third, food/carbs/sugars act as fuel for these bacteria, accelerating the decay process. It’s a vicious cycle: acids weaken the tooth, bacteria feast on food, and cavities form. But armed with knowledge and good (both amount and technique) oral hygiene, we can thwart their advances. #teethwhitening #teethcleaning #lifehacks #doctors Sourced videos: YouTube Insider
